Michael D'Antonio of the Boston Globe writes of a statement Donald Trump made to him in 2014: “When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different.” ~ Trump "This is not the mindset of a man chosen to lead a great democracy. It is the mindset of a Boy King. " Says D'Antonio of Trump's self assessment. Donald Trump has not held a press conference in over 160 days, since July 27, 2016. Trump held his first press conference yesterday, January 11. Previously, President-elect Trump was communicating to the world via Twitter, via one-way declarations that spanned from being corny, to trolling, to downright nasty and juvenile in tone. It's terrifying coming from a man elected President of the United States of America. His circus side show of a press conference yesterday was alarming. An event presided over by a petty wannabe autocrat. Donald Trump acts like someone that ascended to rule by divine proclamation of God. Not like an elected official that most of the country voted against. One gets the impression that some entity is simply letting Donald Trump busy himself with Twitter trolling, limited to 140 characters. While others do the policy setting and appointing of his administration's staff. It's like Trump is a boy-king, caught up in all the trappings of the office of President, but oblivious to the responsibility and operation of executive governance. One could sensibly determine that a non-elected, behind the curtain group, is running things, setting policy, for the Trump Presidency and the country. All the while Trump busies himself bickering with the media and making twitter proclamations. Under further investigation, one could rationally determine what this behind the curtain entity might be: The Council for National Policy (CNP) About The Council for National Policy (CNP)
In 2004, David D. Kirkpatrick of The New York Times writes of the CNP: “Three times a year for 23 years, a little-known club of a few hundred of the most powerful conservatives in the country have met behind closed doors at undisclosed locations for a confidential conference, the Council for National Policy, to strategize about how to turn the country to the right. Details are closely guarded." ''The media should not know when or where we meet or who takes part in our programs, before or after a meeting,'' a list of rules obtained by The New York Times advises the attendees.” The CNP, a group that keeps its membership secret, although its membership directory has been leaked by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) here. The membership directory features Trump's Advisor and Chief Strategist, Steve Bannon, a well-known white nationalist (alt-right). Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump's campaign manager, and now Chief Whitehouse Counselor, sits on the CNP's board of governors. Conway was a strong spokesperson for the Ted Cruz candidacy before she came on board for Trump. Bannon and Conway will be Trump's closest advisers, surely major influences of the country's direction and policy. Another clue regarding the order of influence in the Trump administration is his choice of Vice-President, Mike Pence. Pence, although not found in the 2014 CNP membership directory, would be the perfect specimen of a CNP candidate. He's a staunch “America was founded as a Christian nation” conservative. Almost surely chosen by CNP board member, Kellyanne Conway, to be Trump's V.P. Also listed in the CNP membership directory as reported by the SPLC: “Paul S. Teller, the hardline chief of staff to Ted Cruz who was once described by The Hill as Cruz’s “agitator in chief,” is a member, or at least he was in 2014. Tony Perkins, the head of the LGBT-bashing Family Research Council, was its vice president that year, one of three executive officers. And Frank Gaffney, whose group provided Trump with bogus statistics about American Muslims’ support for violent jihad and who was a senior adviser to Cruz until May, was a member, too.” In addition, listed as members are Christian Dominionist, founder and past CNP president, Tim LaHaye. Neo-confederate, Michael Peroutka, sat on CNP's board of governors as of 2014. Right-wing conspiracy theorist writer, Jerome Corsi. WorldNetDaily conspiracy site operator, Joseph Farah. The strange religious ideology of Christian Dominionism, the despicable white nationalist movement and ground zero of right wing 'fake news', such as Breitbart and Steve Bannon, have wormed its way into the Whitehouse and may very well be operating the President of the United States. The CNP is a heavyweight organization. George W. Bush credits it with his 2000 Republican primary win. Bush gave a speech to the CNP during that primary season, a speech that he or the CNP refused to publicly divulge, and has never been reviewed, even to this day. The SPLC reports the GOP Presidential primary candidate speakers at the CNP as, Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul and Rick Santorum. The CNP is the organization that vetted Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate in 2008. They have accumulated an impressive amount of influence and power over the last two decades. It appears they're ready to wield it. Further than within the Republican Party, but in the country and world at large. Given the apparent heavy influence of CNP policy in the Whitehouse, it is conceivable to expect neo-theocratic governance. Abrogation of the spirit of the 1st amendment. Escalation of the 'war on Islamic extremism', this time with heightened emphasis on the religious aspect. Supply-side (trickle down) economics on steroids. Along with privatization run amok. The United States could be on its way to becoming the first theocratic-kleptocracy since the Holy Roman empire ascended out of the dark ages. May God have mercy on our souls (no pun intended). With the vigilance of benovolent human kindness and resolution. We will survive the time of Trump, the boy-king. Updated January 12, 2017 One Love, Duane Townsend
